For a leading Client in its own sector, we are searching for a Commodity & Purchasing Analyst Specialist who will report directly to the Purchasing Manager and represents a strategic role within the Purchasing team.
The position supports the Purchasing function with a focus on both direct and indirect materials spend, combining strong analytical expertise with commodity market monitoring and cross-functional collaboration.
Through data-driven insights and structured reporting, the role contributes to strategic sourcing decisions, cost optimization initiatives and overall procurement performance improvement.
Market & Commodity Analysis
- Monitor market trends of key raw materials to ensure up-to-date industry knowledge and an effective information flow within the organization.
- Provide analytical support to buyers and commodity managers to strengthen negotiation strategies and sourcing decisions.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
- Support strategic planning and budgeting processes by coordinating purchasing data and preparing analyses required by Finance.
- Contribute to cost forecasting, savings tracking and performance evaluation.
Reporting & KPI Management
- Prepare, consolidate and monitor official KPIs for the Purchasing function.
- Analyze purchasing performance metrics and deliver regular and ad hoc reports to management.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility on spend, savings and supplier performance.
Process Improvement & Tools Development
- Collaborate on internal projects focused on process optimization and the development of tools, templates and methodologies, in coordination with IT.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Purchasing organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, Production, Quality and Finance to provide analytical and operational purchasing support.
- Ensure alignment between procurement strategies and overall business objectives.
Vendor Data Management
- Maintain and update the vendor database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and compliance with company standards.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or other STEM-related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Strategic Purchasing.
- Experience in automotive, industrial parts procurement or other regulated environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical and data management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI tools) and MS Office, with excellent Excel skills.
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
