**About the Role**
We are looking for a
**Field Application Engineer - Precision Farming**
to support our growing customer and dealer network in Italy.
This is a full-time position based in Italy, with home-office flexibility and regular travel to customer and dealer sites. The role focuses on local technical support, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, product training, and field feedback for precision farming and smart agricultural equipment.
You will work closely with the local sales team, dealers, customers, and our technical team in China and Europe. Complex technical cases and strategic key accounts will be supported jointly with our senior FAE team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to Italian dealers, customers, and partners.
- Diagnose and resolve basic to intermediate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, software, and system-related issues.
- Support GNSS/RTK guidance, steering, positioning, and other smart farming applications.
- Conduct product demonstrations and support pre-sales activities.
- Train dealers, customers, and operators on product installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Support field tests, pilot projects, and product validation in real agricultural environments.
- Collect structured feedback from customers and dealers and communicate it to the sales, product, and R&D teams.
- Prepare technical reports, installation guides, troubleshooting records, and customer documentation.
- Help establish local technical support processes and improve dealer service capabilities.
- Travel regularly within Italy and occasionally to other European locations.
**What We Offer**
- Annual gross salary of
**€40,000-€60,000**
, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Candidate Profile**
- 3+ years of experience in field application engineering, technical support, field service, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Experience with agricultural machinery, precision farming, GNSS/RTK, vehicle guidance, telematics, ISOBUS, or related technologies is highly desirable.
- Practical understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic, and software systems.
- Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or field testing.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers, dealers, and operators.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on in outdoor agricultural environments.
- Experience supporting sales activities, product demonstrations, or dealer training is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, agricultural technology, electronics, mechatronics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Fluent Italian and good working proficiency in English.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
- Able to work independently while collaborating with international teams.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and develop expertise in precision farming.
**Training and Development**
Candidates with strong agricultural, mechanical, electrical, or technical support experience but limited precision farming experience are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will receive structured training covering:
- GNSS and RTK positioning;
- Auto-steering and guidance systems;
- ISOBUS and agricultural machinery integration;
- Electrical, hydraulic, and sensor systems;
- Product installation, configuration, and troubleshooting;
- Dealer and customer support processes.
During the initial onboarding period, the Field Application Engineer will work closely with the senior FAE team before gradually taking ownership of local dealer and customer support.
