**Summary**
: To contribute to the Company’s mission, values and strategic priorities by implementing the principles of control, audit, accounting and finance processes. Responsible for all financial matters of the vessel and for guests and crew in accordance with Company Policies, any National or International standards and any other prescribed regulations. Overseeing and ensuring a prompt and efficient clearance of the vessel in each port of call.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

1. Oversees all shipboard financial operations, including company funds, accounts (guest, crew, groups), payroll, disbursements, exchange office, inventory, and accounting systems.
2. Ensures accurate management and settlement of all accounts, including guests, crew, charters, groups, and concessionaires per contractual terms.
3. Implements and enforces company financial procedures, covering fund management, credit card processing, remote deposits, cash floats, and local purchases.
4. Monitors financial activities and performance, taking corrective action to maintain accuracy, compliance, and guest satisfaction.
5. Responds promptly to financial inquiries and complaints from guests and crew while supporting onboard teams.
6. Maintains complete and accurate financial records, ensuring error-free accounting, proper documentation, and audit readiness.
7. Prepares voyage and monthly financial reports and ensures proper submission of end-of-cruise financial closeouts.
8. Performs end-of-cruise settlements and Fidelio checkout, including all guests, crew, charters, and concessionaires.
9. Controls cash operations, including floats, advances, reimbursements, exchange transactions, revaluation of funds, and casino counts.
10. Oversees inventory and material management, ensuring compliance, accurate system entries, physical counts, and reconciliation of consumption.
11. Manages vessel clearance and port coordination, ensuring timely, penalty-free clearance and communication with port agents and authorities.
12. Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including visas, passports, manifests, inspections, and reporting.
13. Coordinates financial systems with IT, maintaining functionality of Fidelio, POS, payroll, deposit, and inventory systems.
14. Leads, trains, and supervises finance team and relevant departments, ensuring compliance, proper postings, and adherence to procedures.
15. Manages team performance and operations, including scheduling (ILO/MLC compliance), staff conduct, cost control, communication with leadership, and maintaining company standards.

**Qualifications:**

- Valid STCW95 certification.
- Finance/Accounting oriented studies or proven solid experience in the same position possibly in the cruising or Hotel industry.
- Previous experience in management of payroll, budget controls, inventories, revenues/costs recording and analysis, vessel clearance and immigration procedures.
- Physically and medically fit.
- Moral integrity is required.

- Maintains high professional standards, including punctuality, well-groomed appearance, compliance with safety (SMS/MLC) requirements, and consistent high performance.

**Language requirements:**

Excellent fluent English (verbal and written). English is the working and safety language on board Silversea vessels. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. One additional language (German, French, Italian, Spanish) is considered a plus.
