**THE ROLE**

As Head of AI & Operational Transformation, you will be embedded within the client's operational teams, acting as the third pillar of a structured value creation model alongside financial and operational management specialists.

**RESPONSABILITIES**

→ Identifying, prioritizing and executing AI and automation opportunities across a portfolio of Italian industrial SMEs

→ Redesigning business processes from first principles — not automating the past, building the future

→ Delivering measurable P&L and impact within 90–180 days of engagement

→ Building internal data infrastructure and reporting systems that enable management to make decisions in real time

→ Contributing to investment thesis and due diligence — assessing digital readiness and quantifying transformation upside before deal closing

→ Recruiting and managing AI/automation resources within portfolio companies

→ Owning the narrative with management teams, shop floor supervisors, and board members alike

**BACKGROUND**

✦ Deep AI/automation applied knowledge — you know what is buildable, in what timeframe, and at what cost. You don't sell visions; you deliver systems.

✦ Industrial operations fluency — manufacturing, supply chain, logistics. You have spent real time on factory floors, not just in slide decks.

✦ Change management— you have led transformations where the resistance was human, not technical. You know how to bring people with you.

✦ Executive communication — you can explain agentic AI to a 60-year-old entrepreneur and make it feel inevitable, not threatening.

EXPERIENCE PROFILE

→ 5+ years of experience across management consulting, industrial operations, or digital transformation

→ Hands-on track record implementing AI, RPA, or automation in manufacturing or industrial environments (not just advisory)

→ Exposure to turnaround, restructuring, or rapid operational improvement contexts — a strong plus

→ Experience working across multiple companies simultaneously (portfolio or consulting model)
