**Company Overview**

We are a Rome-based cultural and culinary tour company known for deeply researched, high-touch private walking tours led by certified experts in the food and beverage sector. The brand is built on authority, trust, and long-term relationships rather than volume tourism. In addition to Rome, we operate private experiences in Venice, Naples, and Bracciano. The next phase of the business focuses on intentional growth that protects the integrity of the private tour identity while expanding into new formats, destinations, and markets.

**Role Overview**

This is a senior managerial role for an experienced professional who has already built, scaled, or materially shaped complex offerings. It is not suitable for junior candidates or applicants whose experience is limited to executing tasks designed by others.

You will operate as a strategic partner to the founder while taking ownership of operations, systems, and growth. The role requires strong judgment and the ability to move between strategy and execution without hand-holding. You will identify opportunities, evaluate them rigorously, and lead them from concept through launch and refinement.

You will oversee operational performance, client experience, and revenue optimization while building the structures needed to scale the business. You will work alongside an existing administrative support role, allowing you to focus on operational leadership, systems, and growth rather than day-to-day task execution.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational Management & Business Growth**

• Own day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high service standards across all tours

• Identify operational gaps and implement systems that improve scalability and profitability

• Collaborate with the founder on growth strategy and execute against defined business goals

• Lead the development and launch of new products, including small group tours, culinary experiences, and multi-day itineraries

**Systems, Data & Performance**

• Oversee financial operations including invoicing, budgeting, and profitability analysis

• Manage and optimize client data and workflows in HubSpot

• Own the full client lifecycle, improving conversion, retention, and repeat business

• Produce regular reporting on revenue, bookings, and client behavior to inform decisions

• Monitor pipeline performance and forecast future bookings

• Build and maintain SOPs and internal systems to support long-term growth

**Team, Guide & Partner Management**

• Oversee guide scheduling, performance tracking, and briefing systems

• Manage and strengthen relationships with restaurants, producers, and collaborators

• Maintain and expand a structured partner network aligned with company standards

**Revenue Optimization & Client Experience**

• Develop and implement upsell strategies to increase average booking value

• Monitor and manage client reviews, ensuring consistent feedback collection and response

• Continuously refine experiences based on client data and on-the-ground insights

**Non-Daily Responsibilities**

• Research & Development: Scout and evaluate new locations, venues, and experiences

• Documentation Management: Maintain internal systems and company knowledge base

• Special Projects: Support expansion into new markets, corporate events, and VIP programming

**Requirements**

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the travel industry, with clear evidence of having owned projects, systems, or revenue-driving initiatives

• Fluency in English and Italian, written and spoken

• Proven experience in an operations, management, or business development role

• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently

• Proficiency in HubSpot, advanced spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets), and project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Monday

• Solid understanding of budgeting, financial tracking, and performance analysis

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to think strategically while executing tactically

• Interest in food, wine, and Italian culture

• Compensation starting from €2500 gross per month, with growth potential based on experience and performance
