**Role Description**
This full-time, on-site News Reporter role at Ocean View is based in Bologna. The News Reporter is responsible for identifying newsworthy stories, conducting interviews, and gathering information from sources including officials, community members, and subject-matter experts. Daily tasks include researching current events, attending press conferences and local happenings, verifying facts, and writing clear, accurate articles for digital and print platforms. The role also involves preparing press releases when needed, collaborating with editors on story angles and deadlines, and adapting content to multiple formats, such as brief news updates and longer feature pieces. The News Reporter is expected to maintain ethical journalism standards, meet tight deadlines, and contribute to a fast-paced newsroom environment.

**Qualifications**

- Candidates should possess strong Reporting and Journalism skills, including interviewing, fact-checking, and source development.
- Candidates should possess News Writing and general Writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging articles under deadline.
- Candidates should possess experience creating Press Releases and handling media communications in a professional setting.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site in Bologna, collaborate effectively with editorial teams, and manage multiple assignments.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with digital news platforms, basic media law and ethics, and the use of newsroom tools and content management systems.
- A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Italian and strong English reading and writing skills are beneficial for covering local and international news.
