Sales Manager – Packaging
**Campania & Southern Italy | €40,000–€45,000 + Bonus + Company Car**
Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with an established international packaging manufacturer to appoint a Sales Manager responsible for developing new business across Campania and Southern Italy.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, commercially driven sales professional who enjoys developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities and winning business within a competitive manufacturing environment.
Our client is looking for someone with the energy, autonomy and commercial confidence to develop their regional presence, particularly within the Food, FMCG and wider industrial sectors.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the regional leadership team, you will take ownership of new business development across your territory, working closely with internal technical and operational teams to deliver competitive packaging solutions.
The role offers considerable autonomy and the opportunity to make a direct impact on commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target and develop new B2B customers across Campania and Southern Italy.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities, with a particular focus on Food, FMCG and industrial manufacturing customers.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers across procurement, operations and commercial functions.
- Understand customer packaging requirements and work alongside technical teams to develop suitable solutions and commercial proposals.
- Lead customer meetings, pricing negotiations and commercial discussions through to contract completion.
- Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting through to customer onboarding.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and commercial activity through CRM systems.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activity and potential opportunities for regional growth.
Candidate Profile
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Approximately 2–6 years of experience in B2B field sales, account development or new business development.
- Experience within corrugated packaging, flexible packaging, paper-based packaging or a related industrial manufacturing sector.
- A proven ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships and secure new business.
- Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence engaging with manufacturing customers and discussing technical products or solutions.
- A proactive, results-driven approach, with the ability to manage a territory independently.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Campania and Southern Italy.
- Fluent Italian communication skills.
**Experience in corrugated packaging would be particularly advantageous, although candidates from other packaging sectors are strongly encouraged to apply.**

€40,000–€45,000 gross annually, depending on experience.
