**Role Overview:**

This role requires reviewing construction plans and documentation to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. The position is contractual and supports critical infrastructure projects where adherence to safety and legal standards is non-negotiable. By analyzing structural, electrical, and mechanical plans, this role ensures projects meet regulatory requirements before approval.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Review construction plans, including architectural drawings, structural calculations, and electrical schematics, for compliance with local and international building codes.

• Identify discrepancies or deficiencies in submitted documentation and request revisions from project teams.

• Verify that construction documents align with zoning laws, fire safety regulations, and accessibility standards.

• Document findings in detailed reports, noting areas requiring correction or additional information.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve code violations before approval.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:**

• Minimum of 3 years of experience reviewing building plans for code compliance in commercial or residential construction projects.

• Familiarity with International Building Code (IBC), National Electrical Code (NEC), and local municipal code requirements.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings using CAD or BIM software.

• Strong analytical skills to assess complex technical documents and identify potential violations.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
