**Role Description**
This is a full-time hybrid Service Engineer role based in the Greater Ravenna Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Service Engineer will perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of port handling, earthmoving, and lifting equipment at customer sites and in workshop settings. Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, conducting troubleshooting activities, coordinating field service visits, and providing technical support to customers and internal teams. The role involves documenting service interventions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Service Engineer will collaborate closely with operations, sales, and training teams to enhance customer satisfaction and support continuous improvement of service processes.
**Qualifications**
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Experience in field service operations, including on-site inspections, equipment setup, and customer support.
- Technical support capabilities, including interpreting technical documentation and using diagnostic tools.
- Hands-on maintenance and repair experience with heavy machinery or industrial equipment.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Vocational or technical qualification in engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics) or a related field.
- Ability to work safely in port, industrial, and construction environments, following all safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Ravenna area and occasionally across Italy.
- Basic proficiency with digital tools (service management software, email, documentation systems).
- Previous experience with port or lifting equipment and knowledge of Liebherr machinery is an advantage.
