We are looking for a **System Engineer** with a background in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a similar field, and **1–2 years of experience in the Automotive sector.**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Leading the development and implementation of advanced **Connectivity System** features/functions;
- Ensuring that the function is aligned with the overall **business strategy and goals**;
- **Project status reporting** in internal and external meetings;
- Writing **Requirements and Functional Specifications**;
- **Interfacing with stakeholders** to discuss system architecture(s) through workshops and design meetings;
- Issue tracking and defect analysis;
- Analyzing and evaluating performance to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes;
- Supplier steering and coordination.
**Required Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in **Telecommunications, Computer Engineering** or similar;
- **1-2 year** of experience in the **Automotive field (Tier1/OEMs)**;
- Knowledge of **Connectivity/Infotainment System Architecture** including hardware, software and user interfaces;
- Knowledge of **operating system concepts**, such as process management, memory management, file systems and power management;
- Knowledge of **automotive standard protocols**, such as **CAN** and **Ethernet**;
- Knowledge of security principles and best practices for **securing Linux systems**;
- Experience with **version control systems**, such as **Gi**t;
- Experience with **debugging and troubleshooting complex systems**;
- Knowledge of **open-source software development and licensing**;
- Experience with software development methodologies, including **Agile** and **Waterfall**;
- Knowledge of software programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, and Java;
- Knowledge of **embedded systems** and **real-time operating systems**;
- Knowledge of **project management tools**, such as **Jira**;
- Familiarity with **GNU/Linux and Android operating systems**;
- Familiarity with **software testing methodologies,** including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing;
**Soft Skills**
- Sense of integrity and responsibility;
- Take on responsibility, work independently, being able to share achievements with the team;
- Show initiative and work in a structured way;
- Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
Workplace: Turin (TO) with availability to travel in Italy and abroad.
