**About the Role**
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented City Manager to lead retail channel development in either Lombardy (Milan) or Lazio (Rome). Reporting to the Country Manager for Italy, you will take ownership of acquiring and managing tobacco retail accounts, executing in-store brand activities, and gathering actionable market insights. This is a hands-on field sales role ideal for a professional with a hunter mindset and experience in the tobacco, vaping, or FMCG sector.
**Job Responsibilities**
1. **Retail Channel Development & Sales Execution**
– Plan and execute efficient daily store visits based on a prioritized target list. Professionally present and sell PIxl vape products to tobacco store owners and achieve individual sales and order targets. Coordinate with importers on order processing when necessary.
2. **Trade Marketing & Promotion Negotiation**
– Lead negotiations with store owners to secure participation in both B2B and B2C promotional campaigns, ensuring effective in-store execution.
3. **Brand Visibility & Merchandising**
– Persuade store owners to allocate prime in-store display positions. Manage the transportation, installation, and ongoing maintenance of all point-of-sale materials to uphold brand consistency.
4. **Market Intelligence Gathering**
– Systematically collect and report on competitor activity, store-level sales data, and consumer trends. Establish routine communication channels with stores to capture first-hand market information.
5. **Key Account Relationship Management**
– Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key retail partners. Serve as a professional brand representative, handling daily interactions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
**Job Requirements**
1. **Industry Background**
– Sales experience in vaping, tobacco, or FMCG is highly preferred. Familiarity with the Italian tobacco retail channel is a strong advantage.
2. **Sales Competencies**
– Mature B2B sales and negotiation skills. Able to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and effectively open and manage retail accounts.
3. **Driving Requirement**
– Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle to efficiently cover store visits, transport marketing materials, and handle light deliveries. A compliant car allowance will be provided.
4. **Languages**
– Full professional proficiency in Italian is mandatory. Business-level proficiency in English is a significant plus.
5. **Personal Attributes**
– Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently. Resilient and comfortable in a high-frequency outdoor field sales environment. Possesses strong commercial acumen and communication instincts.
6. **Work Authorization**
– Must hold the legal right to work in Italy without restriction.
